JEE Advanced 2018: The JEE Advanced 2018 Paper I and Paper II will be held today, that is, May 20. Almost 1.65 lakh students will be appearing for the IIT-Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018 paper which is scheduled to take place at 9 am today. The Paper I will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm while Paper 2 will be carried out from 2 pm to 5 pm. The exam is being conducted by IIT Kanpur in online mode. With less than a couple of hours for the examination to start, it is important that students relax and head towards their respective examination centres.

Students are expected to report at their exam centres well before time as the biometric verification of candidates will be carried out first and it is then they will be sent to their respective computer systems. However, it is important to know the list of Do’s and Don’ts before you attempting the paper.

List of Do’s and Don’ts for students appearing for JEE Advanced 2018:

List of Allowed Items:

1. Students are advised to carry their admit cards or hall ticket. It is important to carry your hall ticket as without it he/she may not be allowed to enter the exam centre. The hall ticket carries the name, roll number, name of the exam centre and the duration of the paper.
2. Students must also carry an identity card along with their photograph. It is also advisable for the students to carry a printed copy of the admit card.
3. They must also keep Pens and Pencil which may be required for doing calculations.

List of Prohibited Items:

1. Students must note that electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smart phones, calculators, iPAD, tablets digital watches etc. are not allowed inside the exam hall.
2. Also, any kind of study material for last minute revision must not be carried inside the exam hall, which includes slide rule, log books, written or blank papers etc.
3. Other items which are prohibited are wallets, geometry boxes and abacus.
4. Apart from these, students must also follow a certain dress code. Students have been asked not to wear metallic items, such as rings, earrings or dresses with huge buttons.

The results for JEE Advanced 2018 will be declared on June 10. The result will be released on the official website- jeeadv.ac.in. The All India Ranks (AIR) of all the students passing the examination will be also available on the website, once the results are released. Students will also be sent individual text messages intimating them of their results on their registered mobile numbers.
