The fifth Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2017 will be conducted on April 2, 2017 (Sunday) by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. Joint Entrance Examination is conducted by CBSE Board and it is a two tier examination. The official notification of JEE Main 2017 is available on the official website from November 10. The online application process will start from December 1, 2016 and the aspirants should note some important point for filling up the application form. The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland & Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) -2017 application form online. The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs/ISM Dhanbad. NOTE: All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI with their correct details. JEE Main Application Form: The application procedure will be completed 4 stages. The first stage will be of registration process. Then the online application will start and the applicants will have to enter all the genuine details and submit. In the third stage the applicants will have to upload scanned images of their photograph, signature and thumb impression in a prescribed format. In the last stage to complete the application process the applicants will have to pay the application fee. The fee can be paid through debit/credit card or an e-challan of Canara Bank/ Syndicate Bank/ ICICI Bank/ HDFC Bank. An acknowledgment slip will be generated on successful payment of application fee.
