The Joint Entrance Examination Board will conduct the JEE Main 2017 pen & paper based examination on April 2, 2017, whereas the computer based exam will be conducted on April 8 & 9, 2017. But for taking admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, candidates should have secured at least 75% marks in the class 12 examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the class 12 examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the class 12 examination. For B.E/B.TECH course candidates should be class 12 pass and should score min 75% marks (Aggregated) and 65% in case of applicant belonging to SC/ST category or be in top 20 percentile in the subjects like Language, Physics, Mathematics, any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject), or any other subject.
For B.Arch./B.Planning candidates should have taken Mathematics subject along with min 75% marks (Aggregated) and 65% in case of an applicant belonging to SC/ST category or be in top 20 percentile.
For JEE Main eligibility candidates must have taken at-least five subjects in class 12th or equivalent examination.
Candidates those who have passed their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2015 or 2016; or those applicants, who are appearing in their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2017, are eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017. Aspirants can appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for only three times.
So, candidates those who are interested and eligible should apply for JEE Main 2017 until January 16, 2017. And the fees can be paid up to January 17, 2017.
