The National Testing Agency(NTA) will be conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) –
2026 in CBT Mode in two sessions (January and April 2026). Candidates can fill up the online application form for Session-I by visiting the official website at https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/. As of now, NTA has not released the exact date and time for the publication of JEE Main application form.

What is the JEE Main 2026 registration date?

However, NTA stated that the online submission of application forms will commence from October 2025 onwards. The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination will be held between January 21 to 30 January 2026. Meanwhile, JEE Main Session 2 examination will be conducted from April 1 to April 10, 2026. The application for the same will be released in the last week of January 2026 onwards.

Along with the IIT JEE application, NTA will release the JEE Information bulletin which will consist of details such as application fee, exam date, paper pattern, mode of examination, examination date, and other important details.

What are the steps to apply for JEE Main 2026?

1. Step 1: Registration Form: Register for the Online Application Form and note down the system-generated Application Number.
2. Step 2: Application Form: The Candidates can log in with the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password for completing the Application Form including filling up personal details, applying for the Paper, choosing the Examination Cities, providing the details of Educational Qualifications, and uploading the images and documents (if any).
3. Step 3: Fee Payment: After completing Step 1 and Step 2, the candidates have to pay the requisite examination fee. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank. All 3 Steps can be done together or at separate timings. The submission of the Application of a candidate could be considered successful and his/her candidature would be confirmed only on the successful transaction/receipt of the prescribed application fee from him/her.
