Jammu School Closing News: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday announced a 46-day summer vacation from June 1 for government and recognised private schools in the Jammu division’s summer zone. The decision was taken in response to the extreme heatwave conditions prevailing in the region, with temperatures exceeding 43 degrees Celsius in various places.
As per an order issued by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Directorate of School Education, all the government/recognized private schools falling in summer zone of Jammu Division shall observe summer vacation with effect from June 1, 2024.
“It is hereby ordered that all the government and recognised private schools falling in summer zone of the Jammu division shall observe summer vacation w.e.f 01-06.2024 to 16-07-2024,” the order(dated May 28) reads. It is further ordered that all teachers shall remain available for any on-line guidance of students during vacation period.
“Any default on part of the Head of the School/Teaching staff in observance of the above schedule shall attract action under rules,” the order further reads.
