Who is the young achiever who became an IAS officer?

Moin Ahmed was born in Jatpura village, located in the Dilardi area of Moradabad, India. Speaking about his family members, Ahmed’s father, Wali Hasan, is a bus driver with Uttar Pradesh Roadways. Ahmed has four younger brothers. When Ahmed was young, he dreamed of becoming a cricketer, but due to financial difficulties, his parents could not help him achieve that goal.

When did he decide to leave his dream of becoming a cricketer?

As a child, Ahmed worked to help his family and save money for the future. He began working in a Cyber café and was able to earn a decent monthly salary. While working in the Cyber café, Ahmed first became interested in studying for the UPSC exams.

What challenges did he face on his journey to UPSC success?

Not everyone approved of Moin’s choice to pursue a career in civil service. Even Moin’s father did not agree with Moin’s choice to pursue this career and voiced concerns about it. Some relatives told Moin that he was throwing away a bright future in business by trying to get into civil service. Moin’s father was concerned because he knew Moin was making a good living and was now giving that up for a career he did not know if he would make enough money.
