In India, government jobs are seen to be one of the safest places to work. To be an IAS or IPS officer, a candidate has to pass the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which is considered to be one of the most difficult exams in India. Each year, thousands of aspirants take the exam, but only a few succeed.

Aditya grew up in Sector 2 of Bahadurgarh. He graduated from NIT Prayagraj and subsequently worked at Tata Motors. However, he had a deep desire to work in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and therefore left his corporate career to prepare for the Indian Civil Service with great intensity and commitment. Aditya faced a lot of challenges along the way, but ultimately earned his success after five attempts. His story serves as a great reminder of how perseverance, discipline, and the continuing support from his family were invaluable to fulfilling his dream.
Despite a long journey of dedicated hard work and persistence, he eventually became successful. He succeeded on the fifth attempt. Aditya Vikram Agarwal secured an All India Rank 9 at UPSC CSE 2024. Aditya has always excelled academically since childhood, topped the Jhajjar district in Haryana in Science in his 12th grade. He then completed his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Allahabad. After that, he continued to pass several competitive examinations and several job positions in the search for his ultimate goal.
Sharing a post on Instagram, Agarwal wrote, “AIR 9 in 5th Attempt at UPSC CSE 2024. It was a really long journey of hardwork and dedication. Thanks to everyone for making this dream a reality.” When asked who he gave credit to for achieving success, Aditya said it would be impossible for him to name one person but that his family, especially his elder sister as well as his parents, was always there supporting him. The success of Aditya Vikram Agarwal is an inspiration for all UPSC aspirants who experience setbacks and feel like quitting when they are halfway through their preparation.
