Lucknow University will now introduce some changes in the annual examinations that are going to be conducted from March 1. The University is planning to digitally codify the answer copies of the annual examination. Another important facet in this year’s examination will be that the flying squad will be equipped with a camera which will monitor all the activities inside the exam center. This would facilitate the record of minutest of activities. Centers deny cheating despite being caught by the fyling squad. The camera will capture mass copying as evidence and will take strict actions.
“At times, cheating material, mass copying and writing on tables at the examination centre are reported but during the investigation, due to lack of evidence, a centre could not be barred. That’s when the recording would come handy,” said SP Singh, the vice-chancellor of Lucknow University. This year, the University of Lucknow has doubled the strength of the flying squad. Not only the Lucknow University faculty but also college principals and proctor board of associated colleges will be included in flying squad.
Copies will not be coded manually, but digitally. This will save the time wasted in filling the award list after checking the copy.
