Maharashtra, June 10: A teenager from Nashik committed suicide after the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) 10th result or SSC Result 2018 was declared two days back. Dissatisfied with her class 10th marks, Shilpa Kundar committed suicide just after the results were declared. Kundar was found hanging in her room by her parents in Laxmi Chawl in Kharodi area. Reportedly, Kundar had expected a 90 percentile whereas she scored 71 per cent in her SSC board exams. A case of accidental death has been registered by the Malwani police station.

In a similar incident, another class 10 girl student from Panchavati, Sakshi Eknath Bendkule committed suicide after the SSC results were declared. The girl scored below her expectation and hanged herself. She was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

In another incident, a class 10th student Kaushal Yeshwant Karnadikar lost his life while he was crossing the railway tracks in Jogeshwari. Earlier, it was being speculated that the boy who had scored 81 per cent in his Maharashtra SSC Results had committed suicide but later it was clear that it was an accident.  Andheri Government Railway Police (GRP) inspector Bharat Chaudhari too confirmed that the death of Karnadikar was an unfortunate accident and ruled out suicide. Chaudhari said,”Based on the statements of the parents, it seems that it was not a case of suicide but an accidental death. He was crossing the tracks when a mail train ran him over. We have taken an accidental death report in the matter.”
