Panaji: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) postponed the HSSC exam scheduled for March 18, Monday in the state due to the death of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. The new date of examination is March 27.
GBSHSE postponed the HSSC exam in Banking, Computer Science, Logic and Cooperation due to the sudden demise of the Goa CM. As per the new schedule, the exams will be conducted on March 27, 2019.
Manohar Parrikar passed away at the age of 63 on Sunday evening. Parrikar’s health condition was extremely critical, doctors had said an hour prior to his demise. Notably, the Goa CM was suffering from pancreatic cancer and was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on January 31. A condolence meeting would be held in the Union Cabinet at 11 AM tomorrow in the wake of the demise of Manohar Parrikar.
