Software engineer success story: From cracking civil services to top positions in the private sector, including major IT companies, youth from Bihar are renowned for their academic prowess and hard-work which has earned them laurels across the world. One such shining example is our today’s success story of Abhishek Kumar, a teen from Bihar’s Jamui district, who has been offered a record-breaking salary package by Google and will soon the join tech-giant’s London office.
Who is Abhishek Kumar
Born in a middle-class family to a lawyer father and a homemaker mother in Jamukhraiya in Jhajja block area in Jamui, Bihar, Abhishek Kumar is the youngest of two brothers. The teenager completed his early education in his hometown before earning a bachelors degree in software engineering from NIT, Patna.

After completing his software engineering degree, Abhishek started working for Google in 2022 for a respectable salary, however, he soon received a massively better package from Amazon, who offered him an annual package of Rs 1 crore and 8 lakh per annum to come work for the Jeff Bezos’ multi-continental conglomerate.
Kumar worked for Amazon till March 2023 before he left and joined an Mexican-based software firm. Now, the young engineer has come full circle and once again joined Google for what is reportedly a “record-breaking” package of over Rs 2 crore per annum. Abhishek will now join Google at its London office.
Speaking about his recent appointment, Abhishek Kumar described working for Google as a “dream job”, asserting that every software engineer dreams of working for the California-based tech giant and works tirelessly to achieve this dream. The young man credited his success to his parents and older brother, whom he described as a source of inspiration whenever he faced a hurdle in his studies.
Abhishek’s father said his son was very good at studies since his childhood days, hence they always prioritized his education above everything else to ensure he makes it big one day.
“That dreams has come true now,” a proud Indradev told reporters.
