New Delhi: The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are among the most prestigious institutions in India. Every year, hundreds of thousands of students from across the country appear for the entrance exams to secure admission to IITs. After years of hard work, some students succeed in securing a spot at one of the prestigious IITs across the country. However, there are exceptions like Chirag Falor from Pune, who, despite clearing the exam, chose not to enroll. Falor, who secured the top rank in the JEE Advanced 2020 exam, decided to forgo admission to IITs as he had already been accepted into the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US.
“I have secured admission in MIT and I am proceeding with it. Classes have already commenced and I am attending them online. I had prepared for these exams over four years, so I didn’t want to skip taking the exam,” Falor said, as quoted by PTI.
