You must have heard about many success stories of UPSC aspirants from Bihar who cleared the UPSC Civil Service exam and became IAS in the first attempt itself but here is a story of a girl, who is originally from Bihar but was living in Gujarat and cleared the exam in her second attempt. Originally from Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, she now lives with her family lives in Surat, Gujarat, where her father is an LIC agent. Anjali Ajay has been an excellent student from the beginning. She passed her 12th standard examination after she chose Science as her subject stream after passing Class X. After she passed higher secondary examination, she continued her education in Science as she chose BSc degree with Maths as a subject and completed her undergraduate studies in 2021.
UPSC preparation strategy of Anjali Ajay
Anjali started preparing for civil services only after graduation and she started preparing for the exam online as it was time when COVID pandemic had affected everything. To supplement her preparation for the Civil Services Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission, she joined a coaching institution and took the help of online study material.
How Anjali cleared Civil Services Examination twice
Anjali Ajay appeared for the first time in the Civil Services Examination in the year 2022. In the 2022 UPSC CSE, Anjali got a total of 952 marks but she could not be included in the final list. As a result, Anjali got selected in the reserve list of UPSC, thereby getting the Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service (IP&TAFS) cadre.
However, she was not satisfied with the service, therefore, she made her second attempt of UPSC Civil Service during the training of IP&TAFS, in the year 2023. In her second attempt, Anjali got rank 43 and was finally selected for IAS service.
