People blessed with a genius-level intellect often start manifesting their extraordinary abilities from a very young age, as they announce their arrival to the world. One such genius is Indian table tennis champion, Naina Jaiswal, who showcased her unearthly academic prowess from a tender age, clearing her class 10th board exams at the age of 8, earning a Bachelors degree at 13, and becoming Asia’s youngest PhD holder when she was just 15.

Who is Naina Jaiswal?

Born in Hyderabad, Telangana on March 22, 2000 to Ashwani Kumar Jaiswal and Bhagya Laxmi Jaiswal, Naina Jaiswal is a true born-genius who is regarded by many as a “child prodigy” because of her astounding academic as well as athletic achievements at a very young age.

Naina Jaiswal completed her class 10th at the age of 8, when children her age were still learning basics in primary school. The genius girl completed her schooling at the tender age of 10 when she cleared her class 12th board exams, and completed her graduation in Mass Communication and Journalism from St. Mary’s College at just 13 years of age.

At 15, Naina Jaiswal earned her Master’s degree in political science from the Osmania University in Hyderabad, becoming the youngest post-graduate in Asia, and later began pursuing her PhD at the age of 17. Jaiswal also holds a law degree.

Naina has picked contribution of microfinance in women empowerment as her research topic, and her research highlights how small loans are helping in making women self-reliant by helping them open their own businesses.

Academic genius and table tennis champ

Apart from her exceptional academic achievements, Naina Jaiswal is also a international tennis champion, having represented India on the global stage, winning multiple titles in both national and international championships.

Interestingly, Naina Jaiswal was homeschooled due to which she was able to groom her academic and athletic abilities, and performed extraordinarily in both.
