Bihar board results: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared results for class 12 on Tuesday where girls outperformed boys by significant proportions. The overall pass percentage in all streams was 86.50, lower than last year’s 87.21 where girls outshone boys in all three streams. In Arts, 85.04 per cent of girls were declared successful as compared to 78.94 per cent of boys. However, a single name that is getting the most attention is that of Roshni Kumari. Roshni Kumari topped the commerce stream with 475 marks (95%) in the Bihar Board results 2025. Here is all you need to know about the Bihar Board topper.

Roshni’s journey to success

Roshni’s journey to success is a testament to her hard work and family support. Despite facing financial constraints, she enrolled in a government school and pursued her dreams. Her mother’s motivation and teachers’ encouragement played a significant role in her achievement, as per a report by news agency ANI.

“My father is an auto driver. Due to financial constraints, I left my previous school and got myself enrolled in a government school… My mother motivated me a lot. Earlier, I had decided to do CA after the 12th, but looking at our financial condition, I dropped that idea and thought of doing CS. My teachers told me not to worry about money and they will support me…”, Roshni was quoted as saying in the report by ANI speaking about her achievement.

Notably, Roshni will receive an amount of Rs 2 lakh as prize money.

Roshni’s story inspires students from humble backgrounds, demonstrating that with dedication and support, anyone can achieve their dreams. Roshni’s journey was far from easy. According to media reports, her father, Sudhir Kumar, worked as an auto-rickshaw driver in Hajipur, while her mother, Aarti Devi, managed the household.

Stream wise passing percentage

In Commerce, 97 per cent of girls passed the exams as compared to 93.62 per cent of boys. In Science, 91.29 per cent of girls were declared successful as compared to 88.63 per cent of boys. Education Minister Sunil Kumar announced the result from the office of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).

Antara Khushi secured the second rank in the commerce stream across the state. Expressing her joy, Antara credited her achievement to the unwavering support of her parents and teachers.
