Meet woman who quit high-paying job to become IAS Officer, topped UPSC exam with 1094 marks, her name is…, she is now posted at….

26-year-old Ishita Kishore cracked the UPSC Civil Services, a prestigious examination on her third attempt. Ishita graduated in economics from Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce. After completing her studies, Ishita ventured into the professional world, joining Ernst & Young, where she contributed to their risk advisory department.

Kishore, who previously worked with multinational firm Ernst and Young, is the daughter of a late Air Force officer. Speaking of her personal life, her mother used to teach at a private school. Meanwhile, her elder brother is a lawyer.

Originally from Greater Noida, Ishita attended Air Force Bal Bharti School and later pursued her education at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi. She cleared the examination with Political Science and International Relations as her optional subject. Achieving an All India Rank 1, Ishita secured a total of 1,094 marks in the examination.

Talking about her scores, she secured 901 marks in the written examination and 193 marks in the personality test. A national-level football player, she competed in the Subroto Cup in 2012. Ishita attempted the UPSC exam multiple times. After failing to clear the prelims in her first two attempts, she succeeded on her third attempt, securing All India Rank (AIR) 1. Notably, this was the first time she qualified for the interview round. She topped the exam with Political Science and International Relations as her optional subject. As per media reports, Ishita Kishore has been serving as a Joint Magistrate, Jaunpur in the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
