MP Board Result 2018: The MP Board class 10th and 12th Result 2018 is likely to be declared by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) on May 14, as per a report by Hindustan. The MPBSE 10th and 12th examination results will be declared by the MP Board on its official website- mpbse.nic.in. Nearly 20 lakh students appeared for both the 10th and 12th MP Board examination this year. While the class 10th examination started from March 5 and continued till March 31, the class 12th examination was conducted from March 1 till April 3. Students may follow these steps to check their MP Board Result 2018 once they are released. Steps to check MP Board Result 2018:

  1. Log on to the MP Board official website- mpbse.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link which reads- MPBSE Class 10th Result 2018 on the home page.
  3. Enter your details such as roll number, date of birth etc. and submit.
  4. Your result will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Download your result and take a copy for future use.

The MPBSE took several steps this year, to prevent the use of unfair means in the examination. If anyone was caught cheating or using illegal means to pass the examination, a fine of Rs. 5000 was imposed on the guilty. Also, the culprit would have had to spend three years in prison as well. Last year, the MP Board released its class 12 results an hour earlier before releasing the class 10th results. Nearly, 12 lakh students had appeared in the class 10th examination last year. The pass percentage stood at 49.86 per cent in 2017 and the result was released on May 12.  Meanwhile, the overall pass percentage for the class 12th or higher school secondary certificate (HSSC) examination was 67.87 per cent last year. At least 5.43 lakh students had appeared for the MP Board 12th exam in 2017.
