Mumbai: Owing to a state-wide strike called by the non-teaching staff, Mumbai University has postponed all semester exams infefinitely. Notably, Mumbai University winter session exams were scheduled to begin from today, Febaruary 3. Students are advised to keep an eye on the official website of the University asn it may issue the revised dates of the exam in the due course of time.

“The revised schedule of all the postponed examinations will be displayed on the university’s website,” Director of the examination and evaluation board of the university, Prasad Karande said.

The organisation have threatened that if the demands were not accepted, their agitation would continue. This came after the organisation held a discussion with Chandrakant Patil, Higher and Technical Education Minister. The association claimed that the talks were ‘unsuccessful’.

“We are firm on our decision after an unsuccessful discussion yesterday (Wednesday),” Indian Express quoted Rupesh Malusare, secretary of the association as saying.
