New Delhi, March 12: The registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) ends today, March 12, at 5:30 pm. The date had been extended from March 9. Candidates can submit the application fee till 11:50 pm, March 13.

The application process for NEET 2018 began on February 8 and the exams will be conducted on May 6 this year. For the convenience of students, Aadhaar number has not been made mandatory for registration in NEET-UG.

Last week, CBSE had came out with a notification, asking all open school and private candidates to submit their details to appear in NEET-UG. The step followed Delhi High Court’s stay on debarring of all such candidates from appearing for the exam.

As per the court order, following candidates can also submit their application form:

1. Candidates belonging to UR category aged above 25 years.

2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and those entitled for reservation
under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, aged above 30 years.

3. Candidates from NIOS/State Open School.

4. Candidates who have passed Biology as an additional subject.

5. Candidates who have passed as a private candidate.

How to apply for NEET 2018?

To apply for NEET 2018, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit the official NEET UG 2018 website at www.cbseneet.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on ‘New Registration’ link and enter your details.
Step 3: Fill the online application.
Step 4: Pay the application fee.

The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
