NEET PG 2024 Exam Date: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate(NEET PG) examination will be conducted tentatively on March 3, 2024, as per the NBEMS exam calendar 2024. However, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate examination is likely to be held in the first week of July and the counselling in the first week of August, sources on Saturday were quoted as saying to news agency PTI. They further said the National Exit Test (NExT) will not be held this year.”The NEET-PG examination is likely to be held in the first week of July. Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023

As per the recently published “Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023” which have replaced the Postgraduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2018, the existing NEET-PG examination will continue till the proposed NExT becomes operational for the purpose of PG admission. “Provided that until the first batch based on National Exit Test (NExT) becomes eligible for admission in broad-speciality courses, the existing system of admission through National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) as per Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000 (PGMER-2000) shall continue,” reads the Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023.

Why is NEET PG Exam Held?

The NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019. As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the schedule for the NEET examination for the postgraduate programme. However, it is expected that the registration process will commence today, on January 7, 2024. As soon as the registration process begins, eligible medical applicants will be allowed to fill up the NEET PG application form by visiting the official NBEMS websites https://natboard.edu.in and https://nbe.edu.in/.

Last year, the National Board of Medical Science, New Delhi opened the application process on January 7, 2023; wherein candidates were allowed to submit the application form till January 27, 2023. Candidates must apply online. There is no other methodology for application submission. Application submitted through any other mode shall be summarily rejected. Based on the past year’s pattern, it’s expected that the registration for NEET PG 2024 will probably begin around January 7 i.e. in the initial week of January 2024.

• Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other necessary documents as specified in the guidelines.
• Application Fee Payment: Pay the application fee through the provided online payment options.
• Review and Submit: Double-check all the information filled in the NEET PG application form. Once done, submit the application form.
• Print Confirmation: After submission, download and print the confirmation page for your records. This page will contain your application details and a unique application number.
