National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the much-awaited National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 admit card today, August 8. Aspiring candidates gearing up for the exam can access their NEET PG 2024 admit card from the official website, natboard.edu.in. To download the admit card, candidates need to input their login details, comprising their registration number and date of birth.

Scheduled for August 11, the NEET PG 2024 test will be conducted in two shifts – the first from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the second from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exact release timing of the admit card on the website is yet to be disclosed by the Board. In addition to the NEET PG hall tickets, the details of the test centre venue within the allocated city will be communicated through the admit card available on NBEMS’s official website.

Visit the official website of NBE NEET at natboard.edu.in.
On the home page, click on NEET PG 2024 Admit Card link.
Enter the login details and click on submit.
Your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Check the admit card and download the page.
Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Format

The NEET PG 2024 exam format has undergone a significant change, introducing a new structure that aims to enhance efficiency and fairness in the examination process.

As per the official announcement, the change will be brought in all its MCQ-based examinations such as NEET PG, NEET MDS, NEET SS, FMGE, DNB PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST and FET which are conducted on a computer-based platform.

New Time-Bound Sections: The question paper for NEET PG 2024 will consist of multiple time-bound sections, each denoted by letters A, B, C, D, and E. Each section will contain 40 questions with 42 minutes allotted for completion.

Restrictions and Guidelines: Candidates must adhere to strict guidelines, such as completing the allotted time for each section before proceeding to the next. Once the time for a section elapses, candidates cannot review or modify their responses. The next section’s questions will automatically appear after the previous section’s time limit ends.

Implications: This new format aims to test candidates’ ability to manage time effectively and make decisions under pressure. It emphasizes the importance of strategic planning and quick thinking in a competitive exam environment.

NBEMS denies false claims on paper leak

Meanwhile, the board is denying false claims made by a Telegram channel titled “NEET-PG LEAKED MATERIAL” and cautions applicants of NEET PG to not get misled.

The exam will be held in two shifts in a mandatory section format, meaning candidates will be provided equal time for each section across the country. NEET PG is held to admit medical graduates into 52,000 postgraduation seats available in India.

Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted on June 23. However, it was later postponed a few hours before as a ‘precautionary measure’ due to irregularities surrounding the conduct of other competitive exams. This was the fourth time the exam date for the NEET PG 2024 changed. Initially, it was scheduled to be held on March 3, later postponed for July 7, and then again advanced to June 23 due to the general elections.

Medical colleges not covered in NEET PG centralised counselling

The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralised admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG for 2024-25 session:

PGIMER, Chandigarh
JIPMER, Puducherry
NIMHANS, Bengaluru
Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum
