NEET UG 2017 Counselling to begin for medical admission to MBBS and BDS course in Punjab on July 17, 2017 courses under 85 percent state quota. It is important for the medical aspirants  to note that July 11 is the last date for submitting the online applications. For counselling it is important for the medical aspirants to carry all the important documents to appear for counselling. The online counselling for students looking to join the medical and dental colleges for undergraduate (UG) courses will begin on July 17. The fee Structure for MBBS is as follows, the fees for government Institutes is Rs. 4.4 lakh, for Private Institutes (govt quota) the fee is Rs. 13.4 lakh.

For the management quota in private Institutes (management quota) is Rs. 40.3 lakh while fee for NRI students is Rs US $ 1,10,000. The fee structure for BDS for Government institutes is Rs. 3.8 lakh, for Private Institutes (govt quota) is Rs. 7.6 lakh.For Private Institutes management quota is Rs. 10.2 lakh. The fee for NRI students will be US $ 44,000. On July 16, the list of provisional candidates will be displayed. Once the results of NEET 2017 are declared , the  Baba Farid University of Health Sciences released the admission schedule. The NEET scores are the basis for college admissions. Aspirants will need to submit their online counselling forms and preferences of colleges and course for the first round of counselling between July 17 and July 21. The result will be displayed on July 24. The second counselling will be from August 8 to August 13, and the result on August 18. In Punjab, there are about 975 seats in bachelors of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBBS) seats in seven medical colleges and 1,030 bachelors of dental surgery (BDS) seats in 13 dental colleges across Punjab. In case a student has qualified the NEET UG-2017, he or she will need to visit by July 11 to apply for admissions online. The application cannot be via post or in person. According to the information , the students will need to deposit Rs 5,000 (Rs2,500 for scheduled caste candidates) in the university account in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) or State Bank of India (SBI) through a challan form that will be generated on successful filling of the online application. The last date for form submission for non-resident-Indian (NRI) candidates is August 1.

The medical aspirants must note about 15% seats have been reserved for NRIs in all private institutes and Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. Also, 13 seats each have been reserved in Government Medical College, Patiala and Amritsar, along with three seats in Government Dental College, Amritsar, and four in Patiala.
