Odisha Sub -Ordinate Staff Selection Commission OSSSC has issued recruitment notification for approximately 818 Junior Clerk posts. The candidates who are interested in applying for the above mentioned post will need to login to the official website osssc.gov.in and register with all the important details like their name, educational qualification and other details. It would be important to note that that notification has been issued to invite online application for selection of the District Cadre and Circle/Range Cadre posts of Junior Clerk under different departments. The online application process has to be completed by August 31, 2017 while the application process commenced on August 1, 2017.

The candidates who will be appearing for the written exam need to be familiar with the paper pattern. The candidates need to note that there will be written exam for 385 marks and the practical skill test will be of 65 marks.The written test will consist of Paper I and Paper II. The Paper I will have Part I which will have a Language Test (English and Odia). The Part-II will have written test in Objective General knowledge which will of 100 marks. The Paper I will be of 2.5 hours. The Paper-II is also divided into Part-I and Part-II. The Part I will be objective Mathematics while Part-II is the Basic Computer Skills (Objective). The papers will be of 100 marks and for 3 hours. The Practical skill test will include Essay and Letter writing in Odia.
The maximum marks is 15 and the time will be 30 minutes.The basic computer skills will be of 50 marks while the time will be 1 hour. Another important point is that the standard of exam will be equivalent to that of Secondary School. The candidates need to clear the written exam to qualify for practical skill test. The fees of all applicants other than SC, ST category and Persons with Disabilities will require to pay exam fee of Rs 100 between August 1, 2017 to August 31,2017.The fee can be deposited through online mode by logging into the OSSSC website osssc.gov.in or by depositing the fees in any government treasury under the Head of Account OO51-P.S.c-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fee-0047-Fees Collected for Conducting Examination by OSSSC-02213.
It is important to note that the fees once paid will not be refunded.
