New Delhi, July 13: Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the honorable President of India dedicated the BML Munjal University to the nation on July 12, 2017. The event was conducted at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Complex (RBCC), President’s Estate, New Delhi. At the event, the President stated that he was elated to BML Munjal University to the nation. BML Munjal University is one of the new universities in the region which would turn out to be a leading institution in future, the President said. The setting up of BML Munjal University was done to celebrate and recognize the life of Shri Brij Mohal Lall Munjal. Shri Brij Mohal Lall Munjal is the founder of the Hero group and also one of the most respected industrialists of our country. The President emphasized the quality of education and said that, “It is not enough for higher education institutions to be modern and relevant. They must be designed to serve and make an impact on society. Higher educational institutions must strive to become community assets.” Shri Pranab Mukherjee also stated that the quality of education imparted in the current global scenario will play a crucial role in moulding the careers of students. “In less than 10 years from now, nearly 140 million people will be in the college-going age group. Every fourth graduate in the world will be a product of our higher education system. In such a competitive environment, only those professionals who are properly skilled and trained will achieve success. The onus is on the higher educational institutions to prepare their students in a way that they are globally relevant and yet sensitive to the needs of the local socio-economy.”

As said by the President, the Technology and communication are transforming in a great pace. The educational institutions need to catch up the speed by making use of latest technology in order to make education more meaningful as well as effective.
