Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has declared the appointment of Prof T Bandyopadhyay, Faculty and Admission chair at IIM Ahmedabad as convener for CAT 2015. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, in collaboration with the CAT testing agency TCS would be conducting the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015. The exam would be conducted in the months of October-November 2015.  Authorities have decided to assigning the responsibility of conducting CAT 2015 only to the number 1 ranked IIM-Ahmedabad. IIM Ahmedabad was the first IIM that instrumented the CAT exam as the Computerised Based Test (CBT). IIM-Ahmedabad had conducted the first computerized CAT in 2009 with its testing partner Prometric. The CAT 2014 was conducted by IIM-Indore, and there were various technical errors in the process of registration, evaluation and even while announcing the results. Common Admission Test  (CAT) 2014 came with some very significant changes in the paper pattern as well as the normalizing and scoring patterns. The number of questions had been increased, yet candidates were able to focus and manage their time better because of the liberty to navigate between sections. Candidates were not compelled to attempt every section in both papers. Candidates were shortlisted on the basis of their overall percentiles.
