New Delhi: As CBSE will be holding Class 10 and Class 12 examinations “as scheduled” from Monday, the Board has asked the principals of the schools in the violence-hit northeast Delhi to prepare a list of the students who won’t be able to appear in the exams. “CBSE is concerned about and is sensitive to the needs of both categories of students – those who can appear in the examinations as per schedule from tomorrow onwards, and also those who may face some difficulty in appearing in the examinations due to difficult circumstances,” the Board said in a press statement. “Considering the difficult situation that continues with some of the candidates, CBSE is prepared to hold examinations at a later date for such candidates who would not be able to appear for the examinations up to 07.3.2020. The school Principals have been requested to provide the list of such students to the Board who are not able to appear in the exams to be conducted up to 7th March 2020. The Directorate of Education, Delhi has also been requested by CBSE to provide a list of such candidates who would not be able to appear in the examinations up to the said date,” it said. Schools in northeast Delhi are shut till March 7.
