Punjab School Education Board ( PSEB ) had declared class 10 exam results, merit list, pass percentage and names of three toppers. As per the official record, Nitasha Aggarwal is Punjab topper with 99.08 per cent marks in the academic list. Namreet Kaur has topped class 10 board exam results 2015 with 99.54% under sports person quota. The second position is shared by two students; Shivam Kumar and Kirandeep Kaur with 99.23% under sports quota and Nancy Bhadiyar has secured second position in academic list with 98.92%. Harmandeep Kaur came third with 98.77% in academic list. The Ludhiana district has 92 students in the merit list, which is the maximum in the state.  Also Read - Indians Prefer Child Education Over Marriage When It Comes To Saving Money

The state has recorded 68.61% pass percentage. In total 3,53,327 number of  students had appeared for the exam, out of which 2,42,406 students had cleared the exam. Though the top three candidates of merit list of sportspersons have fetched more marks, we consider the state toppers only from merit list of academics informed the Dr Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Chairperson of PSEB. Earlier in class 12 exam results, Amritsar had recorded highest pass percentage of 86.93, followed by Bathinda with 74-75 percent. The total pass percentage in Punjabi (elective) was just 88.61 and Punjab History and Culture 86.36. At the same time data had revealed that total pass percentage was slipped by 12.63 percent in Education Minister’s home district; Muktsar. Last year the pass percentage recorded 91.22 which was dropped down by 78.59 this year. The district which  had ranked second last year has now slipped to rank 5.
