The delay in Punjab MET result has left candidates in the state of restlessness. Candidates are also feeling uninformed as there is no update on official website of Baba Farid University for Health Sciences (BFUHS); bfuhs.ac.in regarding the delay in result. The university had conducted first ever online Punjab Medical Entrance Examination (PMET), organized and conducted by Baba Farid University for Health Sciences (BFUHS) on June 11, 2016. The university was expected to announce the result on June 15, 2016 but due to the 400 objections raised by candidates who had appeared for the PMET 2016, has caused the delay. The PMET was conducted to admit approximately 7,000 MBBS and 1,000 BDS seats in government colleges and the government quota seats in private colleges in the state of Punjab. According to data almost 14,700 candidates had appeared for the examination.
Sources from the office said that the result would be out only after the 400 objections are cleared. Till then candidates need to hold their breaths. Candidates are suggested to keep their admit cards handy as once the result is released, candidates will have to fill necessary details such as name, roll number or registration number, captha code, etc in order to access results. The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was founded by passing of an Act in the month of July in 1998. The Act was passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab. The university aims at creating a platform for students between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad.
