Thomas Cook India’s subsidiary Quess Corporation Limted signed a pact with Randstad India to acquire Randstad Lanka on October 26, 2015. The Chairman and MD of Quess Corporation Limited, Ajit Issac said that the acquisition will help the Quess Corporation to get a space in Sri Lankan market.

Thomas Cook and Sons (also known as Cook’s Tours) is a travel agency which was founded by Thomas Cook. It became Thomas Cook Group in the year 2007. Thomas Cook (India) Limited is a subsidiary of Thomas Cook Group. It is one of India’s largest integrated travel and travel related financial services company. Thomas Cook India is based in Mumbai, India. Thomas Cook and Son started its Indian operations in Mumbai in the year 1881 as a branch. In 1979, this branch was changed into a public limited company, under the name of Thomas Cook (India) Limited. Thomas Cook (India) Limited acquired stake in Quess Corporation Limited in the year 2013.

Randstad
Randstad is a Dutch multinational human resource consulting firm headquartered in Diemen, Netherlands. Randstad is the world’s second-largest HR service provider. It was founded in the Netherlands in 1960 by Frits Goldschmeding. Globally, Randstad has 4,496 branches.
Randstad India is a division of Dutch-based Randstad Holding NV. Ranstad India was established in the year 1992 as Ma Foi Management Consultants Limited which merged with the Dutch HR provider – Vedior NV in the year 2004. In 2007, Randstad Holding NV acquired the operations of Ma Foi by acquiring Vedior and named it as Ma Foi Randstad in the year 2010. Later in 2012, Ma Foi Randstad was renamed as Randstad India.
