The Indian Railways Recruitment Board has officially announced 9,739 vacancies for recruitment in the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Potential candidates that want to apply to become either Constable or sub-inspector Candidates will be able to register online from 1st June at 10 AM till 30th June.
The candidates that are looking to apply for RPF positions must log onto constable.rpfonlinereg.org and the ones who are looking to apply for the post of constables should apply on si.rpfonlinereg.org.

As per Railways Minister Piyush Goyal’s announcement earlier, half of the positions in RPF recruitment will be reserved for female candidates.

The number of vacancies available in total is 8,619 in which 4403 are for males and the remaining 4216 are for females.
In order to apply for these positions, one has to fill a nominal fee of Rs 500 for a general candidate and Rs 250 for a scheduled caste (SC) or scheduled tribe (ST) candidates.
The salary for an RPF employee is approximately 25000 as per Gradepay.co, for a railway sub-inspector is approximately 35,000 as per level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) and for a constable is approximately 21,000 as per level 3 of the 7th CPC.
In order to apply for the Sub-inspector post the potential candidate needs to be a graduate and between 20-25 years of age, for the constable post having a Secondary School Leaving Certificate or a matric certificate and be 18-25 years.
