New Delhi, Feb 10: Railway Recruitment Board, in its latest notification, clarified that the upper age limit for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician vacancies will remain at 27. Many aspirants were perplexed after Railways issued notification for filling 26502 vacancies. The railways, in one of the biggest recruitment drive, announced 26502 vacancies for the Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician posts on its official website. The last date for applying to various posts is March 5, 2018. Further, they will have to submit a fee of Rs 500 for the test. The aspirants can avail the facilities of a free pass in their railway journey to appear for the test. “Free Sleeper Class Railway Pass admissible to SC/ST candidates will be part of e-call letter when they are called for various stages of selection viz. CBT/AT / DV (as applicable) as per the details of valid caste certificate furnished in the online application,” read the official notification. It added, “At the time of obtaining reservation and travelling, the Reservation Clerk and/or Ticket Checking Staff will ask for the original SC/ST community certificate for verification of genuineness of the candidate. Any attempt to misuse this travelling authority shall lead to rejection of candidature at any stage of the selection process including debarment for future examinations.”
