Rajasthan Public Service Commission Exam 2018: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will be conducting the RAS/RTS Exam 2018 today, that is, August 5, across 1454 centres sans mobile internet services across the state between 9 AM to 1 PM.
Mobile internet services will be suspended in several parts of Rajasthan from 9 am to 1 pm today in order to prevent the use of unfair means in the examination. A police official said that the decision to block internet services has been taken to prevent the use of hi-tech methods through internet. He further stated that the measure has been taken keeping in mind the specific sensitive areas in the state.
Earlier, it had been reported that RAS/RTS Prelims 2018 being conducted by the RPSC will not be blocking the internet facility during the examination. RPSC Chairman Deepak Upreti had said that the Commission was ready to conduct the examination in a transparent manner. Upreti had also said that a review meeting had been conducted and the Commission was prepared and confident to conduct the examination.
However, the candidates’ movements will be monitored and efforts have been made to ensure transparency during the examination. Strict security measures have also been taken to avert any kind of cheating or malpractice. Candidates have also been asked to strictly adhere to the guidelines given by the Commission.
Prior to this exam, internet facility throughout the state was blocked recently during the Rajasthan police constable examination conducted by police department of state.
Lakhs of candidates appear for RPSC RAS exam and this year, the exam will be held for 405 administrative posts and 575 allied services posts. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), under the aegis of the Rajasthan government, organises recruitment exams and helps with the procedure for recruiting various employees across department, such as, clerical post in Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) and Rajasthan Police Service (RPS).
