On December 25, 2015 Ramki Krishnan of Chennai won the finals of Indian Crossword League (IXL) 2015 in Bengaluru, India. As a result of this victory he received the National Crossword Champion Trophy 2015. The 16 finalists were selected for the final event on the basis of 10 online weekly rounds. The finalists of Indian Crossword League (IXL) 2015 included Shashwat Sinai Salgaocar, a second-year aerospace engineering student (IIT-Madras) and Aniruddha, a student of the NIT Tiruchi. The other finalists were: Narayan Mandyam (Navi Mumbai), Dr. S. Venkatesh (New Delhi), Vinoo Sanjay (Mumbai), Mohsin Ahmed (Bangalore) and Venkatraghavan S. (Mumbai). The Indian Crossword League (IXL) 2015 was inaugurated by West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi in Kolkata on September 27, 2015. The preliminary rounds of Indian Crossword League (IXL) 2015 came to an end on December 6, 2015. This was the third edition of Indian Crossword League (IXL).

This is to note that Indian Crossword League (IXL) 2013 was the first edition of Indian Crossword League (IXL) which took place in Bengaluru.
