New Delhi, Mar 03: The All India Institute of Management Studies (AIIMS)  will end the registration process for MBBS entrance examination on March 5. The month-long registration process was started on February 05. The aspiring candidates who have not filled the registration forms are requested to do soon. The examination will be conducted on May 26 and 27 at AIIMS New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rishikesh, Raipur, Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) and Nagpur (Maharashtra). Total 800 seats are available and candidates can expect results in June. The online examination will be conducted in two shifts per day (9 am to 12:30 pm and 3 pm to 6:30 pm) at various centres across the country.  Applying candidates should be passed or appearing in 12th examination. The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are a group of autonomous public medical colleges of higher education. These institutes have been declared by an Act of Parliament as Institutes of National Importance.  AIIMS Delhi, the fore-runner parent excellence institution, was established in 1956. The government plans to increase overall availability of MBBS seats to 80,000 and of PG seats to 45,000 from the current 22,194 by 2021. The aim is to reduce the shortage of doctors, which is currently pegged at around 800,000. India has 27 regional cancer centres.400 RT machines are available for cancer treatment.
