RRB Group D Exam: Many students for RRB Group D exams in Odisha on Monday could not reach their test centres due to Adivasi agitation. Following which, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) postponed the exam which was scheduled for today. Yesterday, train services in South Eastern Railway’s (SER) Kharagpur division were affected since 6 AM owing to blockade by an umbrella organisation of the Adivasis demanding recognition of their language. Members of the Bharat Jakat Majhi Marwa squatted on tracks in several stations such as Balichak, Nekusini, Salboni, Chattna and Khamasuli affecting train movement. SER Spokesman Sanjay Ghosh said several mails, express and local trains were detained at various stations of Kharagpur-Howrah, Kharagpur-Tatanagar, Kharagpur-Bhadrak and Kharagpur-Adra sections. Further, the RRB Bhopal also postponed the RRB Group D exam (RRB Group D Exam 2018, Level 1 posts – CEN 02/2018) to be held in the city today (September 25). The Indian Railways have not given any specific reason to postpone the examination on their official website rrbbpl.nic.in. This information has been sent to the candidates via SMS.
