The tentative date for SBI clerk main examination was August 5 but yesterday it was reported that the bank may postpone the date of the main exam, following the delay in prelims results. However, there is no confirmation on the same as yet.  The tentative date for download of call letter for main exam was July 23.

Candidates will be given two-hour for the main exam which will carry 200 marks. The question paper will be divided into  four sections: General and financial awareness (50 marks) General English (40 marks), quantitative aptitude (50 marks) and reasoning ability and computer aptitude (60 marks).

Notably, 35 minutes will be given for  general and financial awareness and general English and 45 minutes for quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability section. Candidates’ main exam’s marks will only be considered for making the provisional selection list.

Candidates, who produce the necessary certificate claiming they studied the specified local language, will not have to undergo the compulsory language test.
