Nair from Mumbai achieved All India Rank(AIR) 3 in NEET UG 2021 and was the top-ranking female candidate. She scored 720 marks out of 720 in the exam. Karthika’s lifelong dream was to become a doctor, and she was so committed that she never had a Plan B.

Who is this woman who cracked JEE and also topped NEET by obtaining 720 marks out of 720?

Karthika G. Nair was born in Kerala but raised in Mumbai. Her father, Gangadharan K, worked in the logistics department of a private firm. Meanwhile, her mother, Sri Vidya, is a college teacher in Mumbai. Speaking about her educational qualification, Karthika achieved 96.8% in Class 10 and 97.6% in Class 12th exam respectively.

Karthika not only aced NEET with a perfect score but also cracked JEE Mains with 98 percentile. While speaking to India Today in 2021, the NEET topper with All India Rank 3 stated, “I had not prepared for JEE seriously. I had just appeared for it as a practice for NEET exam so that I could gain some experience from a paper set by NTA itself.”  It is to be noted that Karthika secured the NEET Rank 1 in the list of 20 female toppers during 2021.
