Jodhpur: In a major embarrassment, the MBM Engineering University (Jodhpur) has made headlines all over and landed into a massive controversy after awarding its students up to 120 marks in a 100-mark exam. The university’s BE second-semester students got 120 marks out of a 100-mark. The embarrassment for the university comes when it published the results on its official website, leaving students in shock.

When BE second-semester students checked their scorecard, they pointed out the glaring error. The university’s administration then immediately removed the results without issuing any clarification.

How The Most Recent Mistake Happened?

As per sources, the latest blunder happened when the grade sheet was being compiled. The internal marks were incorrectly uploaded on the official website of the university alongside non-internal marks.

“This shows how careless the administration is and no verification was done before publishing the results,” said a student.

Has University Admits Error?

Vice-Chancellor Professor Ajay Sharma accepted the error and said that internal marks were “uploaded accidentally for 15–20 minutes” when the testing agency was doing checking procedures.

“The results were immediately removed once the error was noticed,” Sharma said.

He said that the university has also issued a notice to the testing agency.

How Did The Rajasthan Government Respond?

The Rajasthan government has asked a detailed report on the matter. The university stated that the report has already been sent by the registrar.
