SSC MTS Notification 2024: The Staff Selection Commission(SSC) has released a detailed notification for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2024. As per the schedule, the registration process has commenced from June 27. The last date for submission of the online application form is July 31. The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, NonMinisterial post in various Ministries/Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc., in different States/ Union Territories and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. Candidates can fill up the application form at ssc.nic.in.

SSC MTS Age Limit

The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2024 in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 140l7/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14-07-1988. The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments
are:

•  18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2006) for MTS.
• 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006) for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue and a few posts of MTS in various departments.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification

• The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board as on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01-08-2024.
• As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06- 2015 published in the Gazette of India, all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission. Accordingly, unless such degrees are recognized for the relevant period when the candidates acquired the qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.
