TET 2019: The results of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) has been announced and only 12 per cent candidates have cleared the examination. At least 2.39 lakh students appeared for TET 2019. The School Education Department, Karnataka released the results for Karnataka TET for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who appeared for the Karnataka TET 2018 may check the results on the official website- schooleducation.kar.nic.in

TET was held on February 3 last year.

In 2016, 5.62 per cent of candidates secured eligibility in TET.  It is a must for candidates aspiring for teachers’ posts in government primary school. General category candidates must with secure a score of 60 per cent or above in TET and for SCs/STs and the physically challenged the eligibility score is 55 per cent.

Candidates who appeared for Paper II have apparently performed much better than candidates who appeared for Paper I in TET 2019. Candidates must pass in Paper I in order to teach in Classes 1 to 5 and clear Paper II to teach in Classes 6 to 8.
