Tamil Nadu education department TNDSE has  released the schedule for Class X, XI and XII board exams which are scheduled to be held in 2018. According to the notification released by the directorate of government examinations the  Class XII board exams will be held from March 1 to April 6 while the results will be announced on May 16. It is important to note that he duration of each exam will be 3 hours. The Class X board exams will be held from March 16 to April 20, and the results will be announced on May 23. Class XI exams will be held between March 7 and April 16. The Tamil Nadu education department TNDSE has said that  Class XII exam will be held from 10.15 am to 1.15 pm, while the time for the Class X and XI boards will be between 10 am and 12.45 pm.  The decision to announce the results and  exam schedule has been taken so that the teachers can plan the curriculum and the schedule for the entire year. Some section feel that this schedule would put immense pressure on the teachers which will male them rush through the syllabus. Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education, established in 1910, is under the purview of the Department of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, India. The Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination evaluates students’ progress by conducting two board examinations-one at the end of class 10 and the other at the end of class 12. The scores from the class 12 board examinations are used by universities to determine eligibility and as a cut-off for admissions into their programmes.
