Top Indian Private Sector Undertakings (PSU) have set the GATE score as the minimum criterion for appearing in their job processes and campus interviews. As seen from the past few years, many  its is seen that many PSUs use GATE score as an eligibility criteria for recruitment. PSUs like BPCL, HPCL, BHEL, BAARC and more have been recruiting candidates at the entry levels of their management through GATE scores. This trend was started by Indian Oil Corporation Limited in 2011, who started recruiting engineers using the GATE scores. Following the same trend more companies are opting for GATE score as eligibility criteria.   • Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)
  • Central Electronics Limited (CEL)
  • Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL)
  • National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited
  • Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)

More PSUs are expected to follow the trend and set the GATE score as the minimum criterion for appearing in their job interviews.
