UGC NET 2019: The next edition of the National Eligibility Test (NET) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in June 19. The first exam under NTA i.e., UGC NET, was held in December 2018.

Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) used to conduct the NET exams but it handed over the responsibility to NTA later.

Students must note that the registration for the exam will begin on March 1, 2019, and will close on March 30, on NTA’s official website ntanet.nic.in. The UGC NET 2019 result is likely to be announced by July 9, 2019.

Candidates can download the admit cards beginning May 15, 2019.

UGC NET June 2019 exam will also be a computer-based test and will consist of two papers like before. There is no change in the exam pattern.

The UGC NET is conducted to determine the candidates’ eligibility for posts of Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

Furthermore, the NTA has launched a mobile application through which students can practice or take mock tests for JEE Main, NEET or NTA NET exams on their smartphones, the government said on Monday. (Read the full story here)
