The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET Advance Intimation City slip on its official website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/. It is to be noted that the agency will conduct the UGC-NET December 2025 Examination for 85 subjects in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at different cities
across the country on December 31, 2025, January 02, 2026, January 03, January 05, 2026, January 06, 2026, and January 07, 2026. It is to be noted that the released UGC NET exam city slip and UGC NET admit card are two different documents.

The candidates are required to download their examination city intimation slip for the UGC-NET December 2025 examination using the login credentials such as application number, password, and security pin. The subject-wise exam schedule has also been published. The UGC-NET December 2025 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The Test paper will consist of two sections, both the sections will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between the papers. The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only, except language papers.

The candidate has to download the admit card from the NTA website and appear for the examination
at the given centre on the date, shift, time, and discipline as indicated in his/her Admit Card. “No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination centre, on Date and Timings other than that allotted to them in their Admit card,” reads the statement in the UGC NET information bulletin. Candidates must bring the following documents to the Test Centre

  • Printed copy of the Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website.
  • One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at Centre during the Examination. Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non- expired) – PAN card/ Driving License/Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar). The name on the photo identification must match the name as shown on the Admit Card.
  • PwD/PwBD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under
    PwD/PwBD category.

How to download the UGC NET Admit card?

  • Visit the official website of NTA UGC NET at https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/.
  • Click on the link, “UGC-NET: Admit Card for exam is Live.”
  • Enter the login details such as application number, date of birth, and security pin.
  • Your UGC NET Admit Card 2025 will appear on the screen.
  • Download and take a printout of it for future reference.
