Agra, April 10: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board’s Class 10 and Class 12 results in Agra may be delayed as nearly 82 schools in the district have not submitted their internal assessment marks to the board as of now. With the evaluation process nearing its end in many of UP’s districts, Agra is the only one to be left behind. Speaking on the delay in submitting the internal assessment marks to the Board’s regional office in Meerut, Agra district inspector of schools, Vinod Kumar Rai, said that the schools who have not yet sent the list of internal assessment marks must be prepared to face punishments. He further said that declaration of the high school and intermediate results  would not be delayed due to the lackadaisical approach of these schools. The results of more than 2,000 students who sat for the board examinations will be delayed and the students will suffer thereby.

The names of the list of schools that have not yet submitted the internal marks of the students to the board have not been declared but the exact number of schools involved was reported by The Times of India.  As per TOI’s data, 40 schools in Agra have not sent the Class 10 internal assessment marks and 42 of them have not sent the sports and physical education marks of Class 12 students. It must be noted that every year, school authorities are required to submit the internal marks obtained by students to the board’s Meerut office. The final board results cannot be declared in the absence of the internal assessment marks.

On the whole, the UP Board will be completing the whole process of checking the papers and announcing the results within this month.
