New Delhi: As many as 3,700 PhD holders have applied for a job, which has a minimum eligibility criterion of class 5 pass. It is the job of messengers at the telecom department of the Uttar Pradesh police. The applicants for the job also include MBAs and BTechs, reports said. The job requires a candidate to deliver messages from the Telecom wing to another office. Prior to this, a declaration is also needed on part of the candidate that they can ride a bicycle. As of now, there are 62 posts that are vacant. The starting salary is Rs 20,000.
