Feb.8, 2017: Union Public Service Commission has declared the results for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Exam 2016. UPSC had conducted the examination on June 26, 2016 and had consequently conducted the Personality Test from Jan. 9, 2017 till Feb.2, 2017. The final results were declared today evening. A total of 189 candidates have been recommended by UPSC for allotment to the posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces viz. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The results are also available on the official website upsc.gov.in. As per the press note released by UPSC, a total of 189 candidates have been shortlisted. Out of the 189, 89 candidates belong to the general category, 52 to the OBC, 34 to the SC and 14 to the ST category. Furthermore, as shared, a total of 211 vacancies have been shared by the various departments of the government. Appointment shall be done on the basis of merit list shared by the UPSC. Also, as per the Rule 16 (4) and (5) of the Central Armed Police Forces Assistant Commandments, Examination 2016, UPSC is also maintaining a consolidated list of 44 candidates. Please note that these roll numbers are not shared at present with the final list of candidates shared on the website.
Updates for the same shall be made available in due course of time. The result is likely to be displayed early tomorrow morning on upsc.gov.in. Also, the marks would be made available on the website within 15 days.
