UPSC has announced the schedule for Combined Defence Services (CDS)  Exam II 2017-18. The students can go through important dates, schedule and online registration details available on upsc.gov.in.  The Combined Defence Service, CDS Exam II conducted by UPSC will be held on November 19, 2017.  As per the notification released, the submission of forms will begin from August 9, 2017 and will end on September 8, 2017. The CDS Exam is conducted twice a year by the Commission to select qualified officers for Army, Navy and Air Force. Irrespective of gender, anyone can apply for the exam.

The eligible candidates will required to apply online or register through UPSC Online Portal. The candidates will visit the official website www.upsc.gov.in, after which the application form will be generated.  The application fee for General Category and Male candidates is Rs. 200. Reserved category candidates and Women are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can be paid either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card. For Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy,  the candidate are required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised University or equivalent is eligible. For Indian Naval Academy, a candidate with a Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution can apply and a candidate applying for Air Force Academy should have a Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of Combined Defence Services (CDS) I Exam 2017. The functions of the UPSC Commission under Article 320 of the Constitution include conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the Union, Direct recruitment by selection through interviews, Appointment of officers on promotion / deputation / absorption, Framing and amendment of Recruitment Rules for various services and posts under the Government, Disciplinary cases relating to different Civil Services and Advising the Government on any matter referred to the Commission by the President of India.
