UPSC Civil Services Prelims Date 2024: The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 on June 16, 2024. Aspirants who have filled up the Civil Services Prelims application form are advised to download the UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card 2024(released) at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. Carrying the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Admit Card 2024 to the exam centre is mandatory. The candidates should reach the venue of the Examination well in time at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of each session of the Examination. No late entry will be allowed inside the Exam-venue under any circumstances.
Candidates will be recruited for the post and services such as Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Civil Accounts Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Corporate Law Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Defence Accounts Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Defence Estates Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Information Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Postal Service, Group ‘A’, Indian P&T Accounts and Finance Service, Group ‘A’ and others.
The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 will be held at the 80 Centres. Candidates are informed that as the Preliminary Examination is only a screening test, no marks sheets will be supplied to successful or unsuccessful candidates and no correspondence will be entertained by the Commission, in this regard.

The Commission has released the Civil Services Prelims Admit Card 2024. “Bring the e-Admit Card (print out) along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in
each session to secure admission to Examination Hall. E-Admit Card must be preserved till the declaration of the final results of the Civil Services Examination, 2024,” reads the official statement.

On the homepage, look for the link that reads, “Download E-ADMIT CARDS FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC. or Download e-ADMIT CARDS FOR Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024.”
Enter the login details such as application number and date of birth.
Your UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card 2024 will be displayed on the screen.
Download and take a printout of it for future reference.
UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card 2024: Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates should note that any omission/ mistake/ discrepancy in encoding / filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.
Entry into the Examination Venue shall be closed 30 minutes before the schedule commencement of the
Examination i.e. 09:00 AM for the Forenoon Session and 02:00 PM for the Afternoon Session. No candidate shall be allowed the entry into the Examination Venue after closure of the entry.
Candidates are advised to enter the Examination Venue well in time for frisking.
Candidates should note that they shall not be allowed to appear at any other Examination Venue except the Examination Venue mentioned in the e-Admit Card.
Candidate should not be in possession of or using any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc., or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future Examinations.
Use of normal or simple wrist watches by candidates is allowed inside the Examination Rooms/ Halls. However, use of watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as communication device or smart watches is strictly prohibited and candidates are not allowed to take such watches into the Examination Rooms/ Halls.
Answers other than those marked by Black Ball Point Pen will not be evaluated.
Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/ costly items and bags to the Examination Venue, as safe keeping of the same cannot be assured. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
A candidate, whose photograph on his/her e-Admit Card is not clear or the photograph is without his/her name and date of photograph, will have to bring a photo identity card alongwith two passport size photographs (with his/her name and date of photograph), one for each session for appearing in the Examination with an undertaking.
Candidates may please ensure that all the details such as Name, Photograph & the QR Code on their e-Admit Card, are correct. In case of any discrepancy(ies), they may contact UPSC in this regard.
Candidates, who have opted for their own scribe, may note that their own scribe will be allowed for the Examination only with a separate e-Admit Card for such scribe. The e-Admit Cards for the own scribes will be issued separately.
All the candidates are advised that they should visit and confirm their exam centre at least one day prior to the exam.
If you have changed your name by following the legal process, please carry (in each session of the CSP, 2024) a Government-issued photo Identity Card and/or original Gazette notification of the changed name.
