Tapasya Parihar, a farmer’s daughter from Narsinghpur district in Madhya Pradesh, has secured the 23rd position in the UPSC Civil services exam 2017. The other names featured in the list were Atul Prakash, Pratham Kaushik, Koya Sree Harsha, Ayush Sinha, Anubhav Singh, Saumya Sharma, Abhishek Surana, Siddharth Jain, Ashima Mittal, Sagar Kumar, Neha Jain, Shivani Goyal, Sikha Surendran, Utkarsh, Abhilasha Abhinav, Abhijeet Sinha, Badole Girish Dilip, Varjeet Walia, Akhil Pilani, Tapasya Parihar and Prudhvitej Immadi. The UPSC Civil Services 2018 written examination was held in October-November, 2017 and the interviews for Personality Test were held in February-April, 2018. Reportedly, the UPSC has recommended 990 names for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’, in accordance with the results.
